Great progress was made today on construction of our second trap field. Three of our trap shooters finished the framing. Paolo Sr., Paolo Jr. and Pat finished the five frames including rebar, Putting them all together went smoothly as Pat had all the wood cut and drilled to spec, then the three of them screwed it all together. Next step will be the completion of our trap house.

Only some skeet shooting at COSSC this morning, followed by preparations of the footings for our new trap house. Need to add a couple more logs then we’ll be ready for the floors. The way these boys work we could be shooting orange domes on the new field soon. In the meantime we are shooting trap and skeet, Saturday, Sunday at 10:00 am and now Tuesdays from 3:00 o’clock pm. Come on up and join us.
The rain held off, the sun came out and we had a great time shooting clays yesterday. New members were impressed with the friendly competition and just how much fun an Annie Oakley can be. As spring is here we will be shooting regularly on Saturday, Sunday and some Tuesdays. If you want more information on shooting times you can reach us here. If you are interested in starting to shoot and you need your P.A.L. you can find more information here.

The layout for our new trap field was completed this past weekend. We are ready for the next steps- compacting, framing and then pouring the concrete. Our current trap field as well as our skeet field is open and ready to shoot on Saturdays and Sundays. Shooting usually starts around 10:00 am.
Membership meeting will be held at the COSSC grounds this Saturday. Lots to talk about including the new Trap and Skeet ranges and a proposal to set up Sporting Clays at COSSC.
1:00 pm, #25 Joe Rich Main Forest Service Road.
We will be open Saturday morning for Trap or Skeet shooting starting at 10:00.
We are also shooting trap and skeet every Tuesday starting at 3:00 pm

Getting ready to start construction of our second trap field as soon as weather permits. We will also complete our second skeet field this summer. Currently we are open for both trap and skeet shooting at our first field. Shooting on weekends and will open more days once the weather improves. That’s Big White Ski Hill in the background.

Ready to start laying out new trap field. Thanks to Bob and Greg for getting it ready. We should be shooting trap here by summer. Members will be hard at work as soon as the weather allows. Last summer we were very productive in finishing up our first field. This summer we will complete a new trap field and a new skeet field giving us lots of room for new shooters and shooting competitions.
